Cannabis use has become the old-people-drug. It lost all of the edginess of taking a drug the parents used to throw down the toilet if they ever found it. Now parents are saying, "why are you throwing that away! Let me have it!"
I am personally of the mind that many of those parents were just swiping their kid's stash all those years. Now that the generations are on level ground everyone has access to the same variety.
