Politicians and playing dirty

Politicians all over the world seem to enjoy playing it dirty, throwing shades and spreading dirty linens outside. This seems to be the case of this fresh accusation of employing robbers and bandits to help a party win elections in a state.

It doesn't sound logical nor reasonable to me, but, what do I know?
