Police: Pedestrian struck while doing push-ups in the road | WHAM

Rochester, N. Y. (WHAM) A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while doing push-ups in the middle of Lyell Avenue, according to police. Officers say the 51-year-old man was hit around 10 p. m. Sunday. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Lyell Avenue is closed between Child and Whitney streets for the investigation. Police said the driver, who stayed at the scene following the incident, was not issued citations and is not facing charges.
