Errol Spence edges out Shawn Porter to become unified IBF and WBC champion with split decision win.
A welter-class boxer from the United States, Errol Spence, prolongs his unforeseen record after winning the 26th match of Shawn Porter. The success also made Spence defend the IBF title and seize Porter's WBC belt.

Until The tenth round, The unofficial count of The Guardian stated that both American boxers both collected 95 numbers. However, the surprise took place in the eleventh round where Spence managed to make Porter fall onto the canvas. The jury gave a 116-11 victory to Spence, 115-112 for Porter, and 116-11 for Spence. The victory made Spence unifying the title of Welter IBF and WBC in his 29th year of age.
The defeat versus Porter also made the fight record Porter 34 match with 30 wins, one disqualification, and three defeats.
