The Linking Sigil
The originator of the Linking Sigil shared it with the world with the intention that each sigil creates a magickal web of connections. You can place it magical power spots, so the web can draw power from such places, and you can place in places that should be magical, haunted or spooky but seem to be dead to wake them up. You can add it to your own sigils and magical artefacts to connect them to the web.
How I see it functioning
According to most sigil theories, if you accept them, a sigil gets it power from some combination of intense belief, altered state of consciousness, focussed emotional release or attainment of a state of vacuity whilst single-mindedly focused on the sigil. But what if the so-called energy raised in such manners differ in flavour and work better in different kinds of intents? Does anger work well for you in love magic? Maybe it does, I don't know. But there are probably some states that don't. And perhaps these inappropriate energies (for want of a better word) dilute and disempower your magick.
Fear not! For the linking sigil offers a solution! Now your sigil can take all the appropriate energies you raised and the linking sigil can send the rest into the magickal web, where it can be traded, if necessary, for more of the appropriate type of energy. Your inappropriate fear when attempting to boost your self-confidence can get passed along to someone doing deep shadow work, whilst you get an extra boost of self-worth in return.
Ellis
An entity emerged on LS Web that came be known as Ellis (Yes, a play on the sound of the acronym LS). Ellis protects the web, and for this reason many likened her to 'Grandmother Spider'. In this sense she represents a new face on an ancient archetype. In much the same way we might see the LS Web as a new face of the ancient Web of Wyrd.
Ellis can be invoked and evoked via the sigil, but it is advised to read up on her a little first.
