Glam it up

Soo many projects on the go and I feel like I don’t know where to start. I have a few big projects that I am trying to tackle. 1 being painting the basement and creating a brick feature wall. 2 being reupholstering a chair and 3. Finishing up my daughters room decor. I have to say I had no motivation this weekend to do any of the above projects. So I fiddled around with a plain lamp that was sitting behind my couch. I picked up this lamp for $12. I have always admired how people can take plain lampshades and create beautiful new masterpieces. So here is my attempt.

First idea was to wrap the shade in ribbon

Ummm not turning out the way I envisioned, tricky to keep it straight. So I scraped this idea and added a simple layer of ribbon to top and bottom of lamp shade

Next was to get creative and add some stick on bejewels to the shade

Still not feeling it though, so I took all this off and found some beautiful jewel designs at the dollar store. Liking it a lot better. Here is the new Glamed up Lamp.
