Beautiful Handmade Coin Rings
Designer Nicholas Heckaman of The Ring Tree meticulously handcrafts detailed rings out of US coins. The Gainesville, Florida-based designer first discovered his skill when he was looking for the perfect ring to propose to his girlfriend with. He managed to create a special engagement ring out of a silver coin with a hammer and “a lot of patience.”

I made two rings out of old quarters a few months ago and wear one of them every day. My process was slightly different (hammer into a disk first then drill the hole) but the results were fairly similar.
Too bad quarters aren't made out of 90% silver anymore. They are becoming harder to find.
That's nice, did you record your process? maybe you can blog about it or post a video. Am always curious to see what other process out there:)

These rings look amazing! A much better use for the material than funny money, right!
