Finishing up custom trunk panels in a Hot Rod.
This afternoon in the sweltering heat my job was to finish off the trunk panels in this '70 Mustang. As you can see the bare trunk leaves alot to be desired.
The wood panels were built by a retired cabinet builder and fit quite snuggly. They attach together with magnets that are hidden when the panels are all installed.
The fabric install was quite easy but time consuming to make it look seemless. The adhesive is sprayed onto the wood panel and to the fabric, then stick together and trim the edges.
I had to trim up the side panels a bit because the fabric on the other pieces took up some room.
There it is, a show car trunk that is durable and looks good.
See this hot rod stuff isn't too hard. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and build something!

I don't know why but some photos keep showing up sideways in my blog. Perhaps my old S6 is ready for retirement...
