DIY Roof Ice Dam Melters : Salt Logs

Ice melt bombs for your roof 😊

You are gunna need:
• Some knee high panty hose or regular full panty hose cut in 12” sections and tied on one end .
• Ice melt stuff
• 8 oz paper cup with the bottom cut out, not cut off( it will snag if cut off )
• A plastic tote/tub to control the mess a bit, because it can and does get powdery.

So get your stuff ready.

So the first thing you are gunna do is put the open end over your fingers to hold it open while you put your paper cup funnel in it.

You are going to make sure to have an edge hanging over the edge of the cup with an opening.

Then you are going to run the hose up the cup.

Now you are going to take the whole thing, cup and hose, and scoop the salt strait into the hose.

As you scoop it will move the hose off the cup for you 👌

I have found that three very full scoops of the cup fill it just enough.

Tie off the end and your done.

One bag of ice melt(20 lbs), with three scoops each knee high made 11 ice melt bombs.
