the problem with numbers is they can be manipulated or outright fabricated to appear as divine inspired events.
the various secret societies, religious organizations and governments all use the numbers to play like they are god.
quite frankly that puts the numbers into the propaganda section.
They pretend they are concerned with the guns falling into the hands of criminals. But they are really concerned about the guns serving the purpose as stated in the Constitution -- to defend Constitutional rights in the face of state capture.
