Disney will pull its movies from Netflix and start its own streaming services

in #disney7 years ago

Disney is buying majority ownership of BAMtech for 1.58 billion. Disney previously bought 33% stake back in 2016. The main goal is to offer their own streaming service for Disney and Pixar films in 2019. Disney movies will remain on Netflix until the end of 2018. Marvel TV shows will not be affected.

Disney is also considering making ESPN an internet-only streaming service. No plans have been announced but they say it is something they are considering.
