Disney acquires all remaining shares of Hulu? | 米ディズニー、Hulu残り全株取得か

米ウォルト・ディズニーは1日、動画配信サービス「Hulu（フールー）」の株式33%を米コムキャストから約86億1000万ドル（約1兆3000億円）で取得すると発表した。Huluの全株式を保有することになり、コンテンツ再編などを柔軟に進めて傘下の他サービスとの相乗効果を高めるそうなのですがこれは、意味があるのかは分かりませんが私からみたらHuluが私が最初に知った有料動画配信サイトだったと思います。ゲーム機でもHuluのソフトがダウンロード出来て支払えばそのまま視聴できるのが懐かしいですね。

Walt Disney announced on the 1st that it will acquire a 33% stake in the video distribution service Hulu from Comcast for approximately $8.61 billion (about 1.3 trillion yen). The company is also looking to increase synergies with other services under its umbrella by flexibly reorganizing its content. I miss the fact that I could download the Hulu software on my game console and watch it as is if I paid for it.
