Decentralized may be but democratic No Way !
I have joined steemit two weeks ago. I was so charged and excited. Now I am disappointed.
The bad news first: Corruption comes in many faces, shapes and forms. The steemit version of corruption is the bots. I was thinking to make a post to help steemit against internal corruption and to help steemit making a self and build-in mechanism against the main disease that took many institutions, organizations, governments and empires down; that is corruption. I was thinking that steemit will take over the main stream media and social media. I will make this bold prediction: This will never happen. Unless an internal self-diagnose and self-defense system is established with in steemit main structure.
Look at these two samples out of many. Both joined steemit less than a month. Both has very few followers. Yet they got voted twenty times more than the best post I published. Not because their post is better but because of bots. That is stupid. And it will fail. Steem value will go down to zero sooner or later. Wake up, quick gain is not healthy in anything unless it is build on a solid moral bases that is continuously evolving.
Only the genuine posts and likable by human beings should be voted to the top.
The good news is, at least for me, I found one more thing to fight a against. That is fighting corruption in steemit using steemit itself. Let us see how far I can get before everyone vote me down.
Let us get things heated up and boiled. Only heavy and pure gold stays at the bottom the shallow shallow and useless stuff must be scrapped of the surface.

Two weeks is not long enough to learn how steemit works.
You are right It took me 6 years to learn how to clean my as*. I don't how long it took every one else. It takes time to learn good things. It take short time to learn bad.

Nice machine but outdated. you should try the new version made by ToTo ( a German Company). You as a good politician never talked about the issue in question. Are you with Bots or against it and why?
I'm against bots 'curating' on steemit...because they can't.
at present only people can curate.

Exactly. Bots can look for terms and phrases but will never catch the message as a whole. This is the reason why this post has 14 views and one comment (by you). I can say I have 7% of the vote against bots so far. And this is the end of this post. Because bots can be paid to elevate posts higher than this one which will make this one invisible very soon for the lack of votes. So My concern is not the money. I like to spread ideas. If this were my source of income I will do things differently. Check my copyrights that I add to the end of each post.
