Where's the Beef

There is no Beef...it's Synthetic

  • 2.5 million pounds of meat substitute is no match for a 5 billion-pound ground-beef juggernaut, but it is, undeniably, a start. And as long as the company can boost sales for the companies selling its patties, the future looks pretty bright.

Never fear..the greenies will find something to complain about it.
They always do.

Sort:

Simply "Impossible Foods". is looking for your niche market; and maybe the greenies will not complain but maybe they will be the main customers next to the vegans...Well, I prefer beef.

Considering the second ingredient, I don't see why they don't just call'em glutenburgers.

Water, Textured Wheat Protein, Coconut Oil, Potato Protein, Natural Flavors, 2% or less of: Leghemoglobin (Soy), Yeast Extract, Salt, Konjac Gum, Xanthan Gum, Soy Protein Isolate, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Thiamin (Vitamin B1), Zinc, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B12

I could try to make this at home with a slab of wheatbread, some blood of cow, and beef ramen flavor packs for the yeast extract (MSG). Who am I kidding it's impossible to compete with blood of cow, my product would be superior.

seems reasonable to me.
Personally I prefer beef.
but I'm a Texan.

Texan doesn't give you precedence over preferring real food. lol

People who are compelled to control other people are resourceful in finding legitimate, logical reasons to control other people.

That is good discussion

I hope a lot of people eat that so there is more meat for me.

I wonder how many years into the future before we find out nature had it right and our synthetic food has detrimental side effects. Will we find out before or after our natural food becomes extinct?
