It seems that the mainstream is finally figuring this out. It took em long enough. Perhaps they deserve a cookie?

The slow-motion privacy train wreck that is Facebook has many users, perhaps you, thinking about leaving or at least changing the way you use the social network. Fortunately for everyone but Mark Zuckerberg, it’s not nearly has hard to leave as it once was. The main thing to remember is that social media is for you to use, and not vice versa.

Oddly enough there's this group of social media platforms on a thingie called the Steem BlockChain.

Steemit = Reddit
Dtube = YouTube
Zapl = Twitter

for starters...there are several more and more coming online daily.

So yeah..it's Ok to leave Facebook.

pssst...did I mention you get paid to interact on the Steem BlockChain?

I'm still in there for groups and pages that make passive income and sales for me. I hope more people will come to steemit, but the flood has certainly not started yet.

Unfortunately, less than 10K of those people are "people who matter" here. The second bar on this chart was pushing 170K in January. Now it drops each time I see it. Our best growth category is the first one on the left, sadly. The other's have also dropped since then. But luckily we only lost one of the beloved whales :)

Active people are counted for this if they make one upvote in a month, I believe.

Bots and liberals...same difference really! :)

I went to FB last night, and they kept attacking my computer because I am on their conservative list of deplorables! I run Linex, so their virus attack shows as a bad script, but If I were running Windows, they would have fried my system! :(
