Even A Stopped Clock
is correct twice a day

This guy needs to clean his clock. It's mostly stopped. From reading the article he seems to be virtue signally up a storm.
- So what are we getting in return for work? Not a lot, it seems. Employment is basically slavery. This is not to belittle historic atrocities or the plight of those trafficked for slavery in the modern age. We’ll call employment wage slavery to differentiate it from true slavery.
Perhaps he feels guilty because he had a good job and others did not?
ya think?
Oh well. Perhaps he enjoys it.
Moving on...he says
- Humankind is capable of breathtaking wonders. We have entire factories staffed by almost nothing but robots. We have artificial intelligence that can outthink humans . We can 3D print houses.

As time moves on, the strict necessity of having a human to do a particular job will ebb away, and with it our need to work.

But what is not ebbing away is our need for food, shelter and healthcare. We still have the fundamental issue of trust. We don’t trust each other to share.

Imagine if we had a decentralized immutable ledger, that allowed people to distribute things because they can verify all the transactions themselves and build consensus. Surely then we can build a system that people would have faith in to distribute resources equally.

Crypto and the BlockChain is a once in who know how long (it's never happened before)opportunity for the human races. It's comparable in importance to the discovery of fire.
I'm guessing, that like fire...it will bring enormous benefits.

Big government for sure is going to see end of current culture. Which seems to tend towards corruption no matter what system of government is being talked about.
Not sure "big corporations" should be thrown under the same bus with the same urgency.
For the big corporations that operate under almost monopoly conditions, and do not have to react to the marketplace, they also tend to corruption and evil and their time may be nearing an end. I'm thinking Google, Facebook, the legacy old phone companies, etc.
But for companies that have to respond to the market place, they are not always corrupt or evil. Many just try to serve needs of the marketplace with best products, best services, at the lowest price.
Not sure blockchain will make those kinds of big corporations obsolete. And not sure we want that outcome anyhow.

It really doesn't matter what we WANT does it?
it's not like we're in control or anything.
A stopped clock is right twice a day.
Unless you're using a military style, 24 hour clock. Then it's only correct once.

Blockchain is amazing, revolutionary technology. Having the grip of regulatory and financial control loosened is fantastic. I love people, but we have a way of screwing up most things we touch. Will we do the same with blockchain?
