Aside from Trump's activities it seems there is little that happens in DC that is of benefit to the American people. Paul Ryan refuses to use the power of congress to site Rod Rosenstein for contempt and then impeace him for dragging his feet on releasing documents requested by congress months ago. Too many cowards in the GOP.

I've been noticing that since...oh....kennedy?

I remember when John F. was elected. My mother made a big deal of him being a Catholic. The nations first Catholic president, maybe the only one.

amazing what was considered important back then...that's not considered important now.
Ronald Reagan having been divorced for example....

I have no idea why some people expect our leaders to be any less flawed than the rest of us.

because they are our 'leaders'.
THEY write the laws.
they should be hewed from an unflawed stone.
they should be required to meet higher standards.
oddly enough...the opposite applies.

people who make big decisions make big blunders. I don't expect them to be unflawed. I do expect them to do the right thing at the right time for the right reasons.

that's one very compelling reason NOT to let the 'social institution' get to large.
better to keep it small and make a great number of SMALL blunders, which individually, are easier to fix.
Than to make a YUGE one.

Too big to fail is bogus.
'economy of scale' works both ways.

I feel guilty after how much I laughed at this one, so true!

That cartoon reminded me of this Far Side one!

I see you as a responsible adult with calm ideas boss @everittdmickey

At last what count is that we are all humans and we are one. If there is anyway we can help others we should do so.
