Pelosi, Schiff and others were not a Congressional delegation going on an innocence trip. They were the leaders of the resistance abandoning ship. They have lost and now they are seeking safe haven abroad.

They have no more ammo. They were blocked from leaving without spending their own money which leaves a trail. More importantly all the devout members of the resistance just WITNESSED THEIR LEADERS TRYING TO ABANDON SHIP.
