Disco Tuesday | Logg - Dancing Into The Stars 1981
I found this classic gem 2 years ago while listening to the Motor City Drum Ensemble djset from Dekmantel Festival, Amsterdam. It is hard to say that it was 'founded', because it is one of the legendary energetic songs which you heard for thousand times and know for your whole life but you still don't know the title or anything else behind the song. Actually till now I also had no clue who the fox is Logg. I just figured out that it would be nice to get some informations about the artists before posting an article here. While digging some informations I realised that a frontman of Logg is the "Crowned King Of Boogie"

Leroy Burgess (full name Leroy O'Niel Jackson Jr) was born on 20th of August 1953 in New York, USA. He was related to the Robert "Kool" Bell and Ronald Bell from Kool & The Gang. It won't be a crime if I say that he started his carrier on the basketball court, singing and dancing after every score. After few games they decided to form a trio-band called The Mellow Souls. It was year 1967. Not so long after that, at the age of 17 he joined Black Ivory as a backing singer.

While years were passing by his possition was getting stronger. He became a well known singer, songwriter, producer and keyboard player. In 1981 he joined Salsoul Records project where he started on his project Logg. In the same year song called "Dancing Into The Stars" was released as a promo singel, warmup before debut of their one and only LP Album called "Logg". In 2017 a 12" Logg - That Something / Dancing Into The Stars was repressed by Salsoul Records.
