There are three ways connect with people on discord.
- Follow the link to their discord channel: It will load on web page, then also appear on your discord app, so you can close the web page at that point.
- Enter their name#ID into the discord friend finder: This is a bit harder, because most people will only privately give out their unique name and ID number in a private message. Some people use steemitchat to do this.
- Post a link to your own shared channel: Create a temporary or permanent share link from your channel, and post the link to invite others to join.
Any time you are in the same channel with others, you can add friends to your list.
Glad you are joining discord. I am still learning how to use it myself. It is a great way to chat with people around the world we interact with online through forums, games, and steemit.
Thanks for the feedback. All of us definitely need to link up and perhaps create a group chat if that's possible. I'm not sure how Discord could benefit all of us if it is closed chat only since the whole goal behind this was to educate as many as possible but if it helps us connect more people, I'm all for it.
