Director Reveals Possible Twin Jung Ho Yeon Characters in Squid Game 2

After the success of the first season, Squid Game director Hwang Dong Hyuk has confirmed the popular Netflix series will be returning with a second season. What can you look forward to in the next season?
Hwang Dong Hyuk recently attended the PGA Awards. Interviewed by Deadline, he gave a little hint about the second season of Squid Game.

"There will be many more extraordinary games. That's all I can say now," said Hwang Dong Hyuk.

"Right now I'm still sharing and collecting ideas for the second season. I still haven't started writing," he continued.

When asked about the return of the actors in the first season, Hwang Dong Hyuk still can't promise anything. Because in the first season, a number of main characters died while playing the game.

One of them is Jung Ho Yeon who starred as Kang Sae Byeok in the first season. Hwang Dong Hyuk said that Kang Sae Byeok's twin could appear in the second season.

"Almost all the characters died. I will try to bring them back to the second season," promised Hwang Dong Hyuk.

"Just say like Kang Sae Byeok, maybe have a twin brother? You'll see," he added.

Jung Ho Yeon , who was also present with Hwang Dong Hyuk, laughed when he heard this. He also revealed his desire to return to appear in the second season.

"I can change my hair color. Let's have a little plastic surgery," said Jung Ho Yeon.

Squid Game has become a global sensation and one of the most popular Netflix series of all time. This survival thriller series focuses on a series of deadly games that involve 456 people from all walks of life who become players to win huge cash prizes.

Starring Lee Jung Jae , Jung Ho Yeon, Park Hae Soo, Gong Yoo, and Lee Byung Hun, Squid Game has established itself as a pop culture phenomenon. Since its first release in September 2021, Netflix has launched an official line of Squid Game merchandise, and popular YouTuber MrBeast is making Squid Game sets in the real world.
