This week's theme for the Dino Diploma Weekly Contest – Recycling
For this theme I drew this larger than life recycling bin as the main focus, with the background neighborhood treated with lighter, more muted colors to become secondary elements. In case we don't do a good enough job of taking care of our home, the universe has its own recycling mechanisms that may decide to do this for us. That is the meaning of the meteor in the sky.
This is a simple vector drawing in Adobe illustrator. You can see my keylines below, and the color palette I created on the right. I chose a light green and a dark green, then did a 12-step blend between them.
