Increíble imaginate una pequeña cinta donde puedas almacenar 330 Terabytes
Hola a todos xd pues esta hazaña lo lograron los ingenieros de IBM conjuntamente con Sony poder almacenar 201 gigabits de información (330TB) en una pulgada cuadrada de cinta magnética, comparando cuando Sony Storage Media Solutions creo la primera cinta magnética hace 60 años tan solo podía almacenar 2 MB de información en una unidad completa de los laboratorios IBM, la cinta magnética aunque no lo sabia ahora ya lo se, han sido utilizadas por décadas como métodos de almacenamiento para archivos de gran tamaño y que deben sobrevivir a desastres, aunque su costo de producción es mayor con el pasar de los años debido a la tendencia de almacenamiento en discos duros mecánicos y de estado solido, Sony y IBM están apostando por buscar mejorar esta tecnología, ya que el potencial de alta capacidad de este medio podría abaratar sus costos a largo plazo y aplicarse a la nube en un futuro próximo eso seria increíble, aquí les dejo un vídeo aunque esta en ingles se ve que tipo de cinta usan
Qué chido que ya se pueda hacer todo eso me gustaría saber qué pasará con la tecnología en 100 años.
si pudiéramos estar en ese tiempo para ver los avances de la tecnología
