Two observations on l’affaire Scott Adams, then none further.

First:

I personally avoid the word “cancelled” as I believe it’s meaningless.

Adams has not been restricted in any way. He remains free to sell his product to any willing buyer and he remains free to engage in ventures with any willing business partner. He has an audience of roughly a million people he communicates with many times a day, with those conversations being further amplified across popular right wing media.

He is louder and more widely heard than ever, and has gained the sympathy and promotion of the wealthiest man in the world.

To describe those circumstances as “cancelled” is Orwellian doublespeak.

My second observation is:

He is SO CLOSE to getting it.
