WHAT DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IS NOT

I have been scouring the web as well as talking to multiple IT Leaders for a definition and while everyone seems to have a definition from their point of view, the common thread that runs through this research is WHAT does NOT constitute a Digital Transformation.

• Digital Transformation is not putting up a website or even enabling a payment channel on your website;
• Digital Transformation is not building an app to serve the same content that your website offers;
• Digital Transformation is not SEO, and definitely not a Facebook page, a Twitter handle or an Instagram account
• Digital Transformation is not taking the same legacy processes and adding technology to it;
• Digital Transformation is not a BYOD program (God, no!!);
• Digital Transformation is not just appointing a Chief Digital Officer;
• Digital Transformation is not just moving some servers to the Cloud;
• Digital Transformation is not outsourcing your digital strategy to a "strategic vendor partner";
• Digital Transformation is not just putting up a chatbot and calling it AI Integration
