Why I mine Digibyte with SHA256 algo instead of Bitcoin

in #digibyte7 years ago (edited)

For several weeks, mining Digibyte with my S7-LN was more profitable than Bitcoin.

With current difficulty ( 158238758.37 ) I mine 270DGB/ day with my 2.7TH miner or roughly 100DGB/Th

My daily payout is :
270DGB x 0,00000306BTC/DGB = 0,0008262BTC/Day

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty
Normalized bitcoin mining per day at 2.7TH/s is 0.0007354BTC/day

DGB Mining / BTC Mining
0,0008262BTC / 0.0007354BTC * 100 = 112.33%

I can dump my daily DGB mining for BTC and edge 12% more revenue per day over Bitcoin. But at this point, I'm holding and mining more ... waiting for better prices, at 0.013$/DGB is plenty of room for exponential grow.

Happy mining !

Price is pumping, new logo and marketing just kicked in, holding my mining bag. Latest price is 368sats / DGB

New math here :

270DGB x 0,00000368 = 0.0009936BTC/day
0.0009936BTC / 0.0007354BTC * 100 = 135%

I switched my miners to mine Bitcoin Cash, great payout ATM.

I mined BCC for only couple of day and switched back to DGB.
Price pumped 33% , Polo is trading at 392 sats/DGB . Holding

Are you mining to your exchange wallet? Bittrex or Crypto? Will the s9 work at the Blockfactory? I am assuming this is the better pool to use? Any info helps.
