First impression does matter and a magazine is not just a content but also an advertisement of people's opinions i.e. you and the staff of the magazine. If your opinions coincide with that of the public, good for you but if it doesn't but you are basing your actions on public opinion then you have chained yourself to something you have no control over.

I am not saying that your choices are wrong, I am saying that you should know how to balance your artistic ideal with what the public wants.

I believe that first impressions are overrated as nothing is always not as it seems at first.
