Dia Internacional de las Mujeres
Hoy (08 de marzo) es el Día Internacional de la Mujer. En el siglo 20 la escritora chino sra. Bin Sien dijo una vez: Si no hay mujer en el mundo, este mundo perderá al menos cinco décimas de " verdadero", seis décimas de " buena", y siete décimas partes de " belleza ".
El Día de la Mujer fue institucionalizado por la ONU en 1975 para conmemorar la lucha de las mujeres trabajadoras y se celebra oficialmente desde 1994 en EE UU. La primera propuesta para el celebración de Día Internacional de la Mujer se hizo en 1910 durante el Segundo Encuentro de las mujeres Socialistas, y en el día 25 de marzo de 1911 ocurrió una tragedia cuando más de 100 trabajadoras textiles murieron en el incendio de la fabrica de Triange Shirtwaist de Nueva York. El 8 de marzo de 1917 las trabajadoras textiles de Petrogrado organizaron una huelga obrera a conmemorar esta tragedia en el marco de los movimientos en pro de la paz durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, y esas fue el origen del Día de la Mujer.
