DGR - Pretoria, South Africa!!
DGR - Pretoria, South Africa!!
It was Sunday and time again for the DGR!! (Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.) This is the worldwide ride for men's health.
We were a couple of riders that met before the official meeting place, to make a nice grand entry!!
For some reason, I am always first!! That is my lonely bike at the top. Soon some more riders arrived.
For this ride, one must dress Dapper and ride on a classic or classic looking bike.
At the official departure point there were quite a few bikes in attendance. Due to Covid-19 we were supposed to ride solo, but this ride was far from a solo ride, but also far from the normal, before Covid ride where hundreds of gentleman would get together for the ride!!
Some were chatting and others were just admiring all the bikes.
Next we were of to Paul Kruger's House, which is a museum, of mostly his history.
Paul Kruger was the President of the South African Republic from 1983 to 1900, you can read more about him by clicking on the link.
Across the road from the house, there is a beautiful old church.
Our last stop, after taking a winding route through Pretoria, was at a place called Tigers Milk. This is mainly a pub, but they also serve some nice food, including some great tasting Pizzas.
The bar looks amazing!!
They have a nice variety of BEER on tap, including some nice craft BEER!! They also have their own craft inhouse, BEER, which I tested!!
I went for the Part Wolf, which I loved.
All the Gentleman had a great time riding on our classic machines, socializing, talking bikes and drinking BEER!! A great time was had by all!!

Now we have to wait until next year again!!
I hope you liked the post as much as I liked writing it.
I hope you have a wonderful day!!
