Chalk It Up -- My Daily Fantasy Basketball Journey Vol.16
We had a small 3-game slate yesterday which I normally do not like to play because with so few teams it is very hard to find value.
However, Dion Waiters being ruled out was the first value I saw. This would lead to more usage and points from Tyler Johnson at only $3900.
Next value was John Collins at $5800 from the Atlanta Hawks. He was already seeing increased minutes and now that Ersan Ilyasova and Mike Muscala were ruled out, he would see even more.
After that I wanted to target the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns game since it would be a fast paced high scoring game that should stay close. Of course I wanted the leading scorers from those teams so I picked Devon Booker and D'Angelo Russell. I also picked DeMarre Carroll, TJ Warren, and Dragan Bender who were all also in that game.
As for studs I wanted Kyrie Irving who was playing well and except for Stephen Curry, they were the only stud poing guards.
At center I chose Al Horford who had the revenge game narrative and was also playing well and consistent.

I placed 36224th out of 134069 entries and missed cashing by 6.20 fantasy points.
I had 3 guys in single digits that really hurt me. Devon Booker was also a disappointment with only 23.9 fantasy points.
Total Profit for 16 Days: -$3.87 -$4.44 = - $8.31 Loss
