Fucked Up and Brand New - Berlin Broken Bike #98

Hi Folks,

coincidentally you´ll find the names of two fine and highly recommended bands in todays headline. But this is neither about Fucked Up nor Brand New, but about deception. Having a superficial look at the bicycle in pic 1 and 2 you have to wonder what is broken or abandoned about it. Take a closer look. Pics 3 and 4 help. A compassionate soul just tokk a can of spray paint and helped the bike to a fresh new, silvery appearance. No idea, why, but given that the chain and other parts are terminally destroyed, it was a pure decorative motive. Or so I think. Now back to music....!

Es ist reiner Zufall, dass im Titel gleich 2 Bandnamen auftauchen, auch wenn beide sehr empfehlenswert sind. Aber es geht hier weder um Fucked Up oder um Brand New, b<sondern um eine geniale Täuschung. Auf den ersten Blick auf das heutige Fahrrad muss die Frage heissen: Hallo? Das Ding ist doch super in Schuss! gehen Dir die Motive aus? Tja, spätestens die Bilder 3 und 4 enthüllen die Wahrheit: Eine mildtätige Seele hat mit ordentlich Farbspray diesem Schrottrad zu einem neuen, frischen, Silber-look verholfen. Da allerdings einige Teile (Kette, Räder, Reifen, Bremsen) ziemlich durch aussehen, war das wohl eine rein dekorative, ästhetische Massnahme. Denke ich mal. Und damit: Zurück zur Musik...!
