Wundervolle Qualen - Beautiful Agony [german/english]
Hallo!
Ich habe vor ein paar Tagen diese Kohlezeichnung wiederentdeckt und fühlte mich spontan zu einem Gedicht inspiriert.Hi!
I rediscovered this charcoal drawing a few days ago and spontaneously felt inspired to write a poem.
Wundervolle Qualen
Es war das Jahr, in dem die Farben verbannt wurden.
Als sie sich hinter dem Schilf aus
zerbrochenen Pfauenfedern versteckte.
Bis zu den Knochen nackt auszog
und tiefe, dunkle Grimassen an der welligen Wasseroberfläche zog.
Kurz bevor sie auf den Boden
des künstlichen Teiches
ihrer Begierden sank.
Beautiful Agony
It’s been the year they banned colors.
When she lied low
among the reeds
of broken peacock feathers.
Stripping down to the bone and
making deep dark faces
at the rippling water surface.
Just before she sank to the bottom
of the artificial pond
of her desires.
