Stettenfels Castle: Discoveries during the Designmarket "Handmade Love" // Entdeckungen auf der Burg Stettenfels
This weekend I attended, together with my wife, the design market "Handmade-Love". Even if one could assume a different meaning, this was a market for designs and craftmanship made by hand and made with love. The location could hardly been better chosen for the region around "Heilbronn":
Dieses Wochenende habe ich wieder mal meine Frau auf einen Designermarkt "Handmade-Love" begleitet. Auch wenn man bei dem Namen an etwas anderes denken könnte, ging es bei dem Markt aber um Designs und Handwerk welches mit Liebe und per Hand gemacht wurde. Der Veranstaltungsort hätte für Heilbronn kaum besser gewählt werden können:

While about 5000 visitors where urging through the ancient halls, I was able to find some time and discover some more quiet places. I was really fascinated by the geometry of the castle and the flow of lines from different perspecives. If someone wants to get more information about the design market, you´ll find a great (german) article as well as a very nice picture gallery with all the exhibitors here.
Während sich beinahe 5000 Besucher durch die ehrwürdig alten Hallen schoben, konnte ich die Zeit nutzen und einige ruhigere Flecken erkundschaften. Besonders fasziniert hat mich die Geometrie der Burg und der Linienverlauf aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln. Wer mehr über den Markt lesen will und die tollen Aussteller (und einer tollen Bildergalerie) bewundern möchte wird hier fündig.

After having installed our food, jams, fruit-vinegars and sauces, I was able to take the time for several rounds in and around the castle and to try to discover some nice spots:
Nachdem wir alles aufgebaut hatten, Marmeladen, Fruchtessig und Grillsaucen, konnte ich eine Runde im und um die Burg drehen um einige nette Ecken aufzuspüren:

It was very hard to get enough of these amazing manmade lines of construction fitting in the natural circumstances in such an impressive way for almost a thousand years.
Man konnte sich kaum sattsehen an den eindrucksvollen, menschengemachten Konstruktionen, welche sich so perfekt in die natürlichen Begebenheiten einfügten, und das schon beinahe tausend Jahre lang.
