Most interesting and instructional text. I would be missing at least one window. Is there a posibility to temporary remove a part of wall? And what was total cost of your yurt?
Thank you for the interest! There is a window to the heaven, the good thing about it is: you have not to worry about anyone watching you staring at the stars :)
Modern Yurts have windows and different construction methods, the Mongolian have not.
I bought it from a Mongolian friend in Germany for 1200 Euro. These days the price is very high, about 3000 Euros.
