Chai Ji

@charles-d und @lichtblick haben heute in " Erfahrungen Berlin- Bestes Essen in der Stadt", das indische Restaurant Chai Ji getestet. Das Chai Ji liegt in der Rigaerstr und ist nur ein Steinwurf von dem ehemaligen besetzten Haus Rigaer 94. Da es heute immer noch viele Krawalle zwischen der Polizei und den Hausbewohner der Rigaer 94 gibt, ist die ganze Strasse eine No-go area d.h. es ist sehr viel Polizei unterwegs und man kann jederzeit auch grudlos durchsucht werden. Das nur als kleine Exkursion und wieder zurück zu diesen tollen indischen Restaurant.

@charles-d and @lichtblick have reviewed today in " Experience Berlin- Best Food In Town ", the Indian restaurant Chai Ji . The Chai Ji is located in the Rigaerstr and is only a stone's throw from the former occupied house Rigaer 94. Since there are still many riots between the police and the house inhabitants of the Rigaer 94, the whole street is a no-go area. There is a lot of police on the road and you can always be searched through without a reason. This was just as a small excursion and back again to this great Indian restaurant.

Wir kommen Samstag mittag gegen 12.15 Uhr an und der Laden ist wunderbar leer. Freundlich begrüsst, wird uns signalisiert dass wir uns überall setzten können. 

We arrived Saturday at noon around 12.15 pm and the shop is wonderfully empty. Friendly welcome, we are signaled that we can sit everywhere.

Die Menükarte ist wirklich ausgezeichnet eine ganz tolle Auswahl die es einfach macht vegetarisch zu Essen. Hier ist der Link zur Karte.

Als kleinen Appertif wählen wir 2 kleine 0,33 Liter König Ludwig helle Hefeweizen.

As a small appertif, we choose 2 small 0.33 liters of King Ludwig bright yeast wheat.

Das Chai Ji ist schon eine Nummer feiner. Es war wirklich alles sehr gut, die Portionen waren riesig und es gab soviel 1 A Basmatireis, dass wir den gar nicht ganz geschafft haben. Vielleicht lag das an dem spitzten Baturabrot welches mit 1,60 Euro in der Qualität fast unschlagbar ist. Die vegetarischen Gerichte waren spitzenmässig und wir beide haben überhaupt kein Fleisch vermisst. Wir haben 7,90 und 8, 50 Euro für die Essen bezahlt, sehr fair.  Super zufrieden und total satt sind wir dann weiter. Das Chau Ji hat auch einen Mittagstisch von Montag bis Freitag für 4,90 Euro, das werde ich auf jeden Fall auch nochmal im Vergleich reviewen weil ich bin ja großer Mittagstischfan.

The Chai Ji is already a number finer. It was really very good, the portions were huge and there was as much 1 A basmati rice, that we did not manage to eat it already . Perhaps that was due to the pointed Baturabrot which with 1.60 euro in the quality is almost unbeatable. The vegetarian dishes were delicous and we both missed any meat at all. We paid 7.90 and 8.50 euros for the food, very fair. Super satisfied and totally well fed we moved further. The Chai Ji also has a lunch table from Monday to Friday for 4.90 euros, I will definitely compare again because I'm a big lunch offer fan.
