Mannheimer Futterlauf 2019 / Food Walk 2019
Am Samstag nahm ich am 7. Mannheimer Futterlauf teil. Es ging einmal um den Vogelstang-See in Mannheim, Deutschland herum.
On Saturday I participated in the 7th Mannheimer feed run leading around the Vogelstang Lake in Mannheim, Germany.
Zu Beginn bekam jeder eine Stempelkarte in die Hand und durfte sich an verschiedenen Check-Points Stempelabdrücke abholen, um zu beweisen, dass man mitgelaufen ist. Die Stempelkarten konnte man am Ende des Laufes wieder abgegeben und für jeden erhaltenen Stempel gab es vom Futterhaus eine Futterspende für den Mannheimer Futteranker.
Der Mannheimer Futteranker ist eine Organisation, die Leuten in Not hilft ihre Tiere anständig zu versorgen und die auch häufig die Kosten für Operationen übernehmen.
At the beginning everyone got a stamp card for picking up stamps at various checkpoints to prove that they had run along. For each stamp you received at the checkpoints a feed- donation from the FUtterhaus for the Mannheimer Futteranker took place.
The Mannheimer Futteranker is an organization that helps people in need to care for their animals properly and also often takes over the cost of operations for the dogs.
An den verschiedenen Check-Points gab es die Verschiedensten Aussteller und Büdchen.Neben einer Portion Hunderleckerlis, die ich gewonnen habe, habe ich mir auch einen selbstgemachten Futterbeutel gegönnt.
At the different check-points there were a variety of exhibitors. I've won a portion of dog snacks and I've indulged me a new foodbag
Ist er nicht wunderhübsch? Er hat innen einen wasserabweisenden Stoff mit Eulenmuster und außen das nette Waldmotiv.
Außerdem geht der Erlös der Beuteldirekt an den Futteranker. Die die Näherin der Beutel bekam selbst einmal eine teure OP für Ihren Hund vom Futteranker bezahlt und versucht nun so, die entstandenen Kosten wieder reinzubringen.

In addition, the proceeds of the bag go direclty to the Futteranker. The bag's seamstress herself once got an expensive surgery for her dog paid by the Futteranker and now tries through this way to recoup the costs.
Was natürlich noch zu erwähnen ist, ist der tolle Ausblick, den man trotz der heißen Wetterlage prima genießen konnte und das leckere Essen, das zu günstigen Preisen angeboten wurde. Den leckeren Carbonara Muffin konnte ich noch fotografieren, der Käsemuffin war leider schon weg, bevor die Handykamera gezückt war.
Also worth mentioning is the great view, which you could enjoy in spite of the hot weather and the delicious food that was offered for reasonable prices. Thats a delicious carbonara Muffin... the cheese muffin was already gone, before the cell phone camera was drawn.
