Some thoughts on the price of STEEM and Stupid German Money (deutscher Text unten)

Good evening from Berlin,

I actually wanted to address the fast growing german audience only, but while thinking about what to write, it occurred to me that some of you might actually enjoy to hear the absurd place the German federal law puts a German Steemian like myself into. 

As a semi-freelance* financial advisor I`m under the supervision of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority or to make it shorter and easier to pronounce Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht*, but we actually say Bafin. That basically means that I better watch my words very very closely when I talk about the price of something that Bafin might consider a financial instrument. In short, to really be on the safe side of things, I basically have to only talk about any kind of imaginable disaster not to just clients but potential ones - and who isn`t, right?! That`s  just to make sure I don`t lose my licence, no need for any actual damage. If I mention any specific financial instrument in a positive manner, that might be considered a potential financial advice.

Funny thing is, I`ve no clue whatsoever how the situation is for normal German non-experts. I believe they can say what they want. Of course they are less and less informed as time goes by and the slow poison of goverment interference corrupts the behavior more and more, because professionals are not allowed to share the best infos anymore. I did get so many awesome presentation handouts, back when I was a fundmanager, but I was not allowed to share them, as there was no money to pay legal department to dumb down everything the pros got as info to a standard considered "safe". 

I actually  can hardly do my work anymore, at least not in a humanly decent and reasonable way, now that I come to think of it.

There`s much more to that, but it`s one of the reasons the only two countries where Localbitcoins.com is restricted are Germany and North Korea. 

So what I`m going to tell to my german audience about the price of STEEM is basically this:

Please do not buy Steem. Just enjoy this amazing new experience those nice english speaking people have given you and grow your knowledge by commenting and asking questions and learn to evaluate risk on your own, but in case you are scared by falling STEEM prices, consider this: many of the people involved in this have worked hard for years on many pioneering projects, often in their spare time, for free, because they are passionate. For many it has been an unexpected windfall and they have more money now than they ever had in their life and I for my part totally understand that you want to put some of that away and "cash out". Nobody knows Steemit yet, so it`s actually not that perfect moment to sell, imho, but consider it a redistribution of Power. The founders pass the baton.   Remember: for every seller, there`s buyer. And if you are interested you can monitor my confidence level around the clock in my wallet. Sleep well, little children and thank Daddy Goverment for protecting you from that dangerous dolfin Fabio.

* You don`t really want to know what the hell "semi-freelance" might mean and get into german law, now do you? I`m trying to stop disgress-omania and its not a pleasant topic anyway. 

* For anyone who loves the videos with "Eichhörnchen" and "Squirrel", I`d love to hear Americans say Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht. Believe me, is starts so easy and then you get in so much trouble, I`d lol very hard :-)

So meine lieben deutschsprachigen Leser, hab nur kurz den englischsprachigen Lesern erklärt, was ich Euch alles nicht erzählen darf.

Euch sage ich, was ich nach meinem juristischen Verständnis musskanndürfensagenkönnte, nämlich das:

Bitte kauft keine STEEM. Genießt einfach dieses begeisternde neue Experiment das diese englischsprachigen Leute uns hier geschenkt habe und sammelt Wissen beim kommentieren und fragenstellen und lernt nach und nach Risiken selber abzuschätzen. Aber falls euch der fallende STEEM Preis gerade erschreckt, bedenkt doch mal folgendes: viele die hier involviert sind haben über Jahre hart an verschiedenen neuartigen Projekten gearbeitet, oft nebenbei, ohne Entlohnung, weil es ihre Passion ist. Für viele war das hier sowas wie ein Lottogewinn und sie haben nun auf einen Schlag mehr Geld zu Verfügung als jemals zu vor in ihrem Leben. Für meinen Teil kann ich voll und ganz verstehen, dass sie da etwas davon ins trockene bringen wollen und "auscashen". Noch kennt kaum jemand Steemit und nach meiner bescheidenen Meinung ist das garnicht mal ein so glücklicher Verkaufszeitpunkt, aber seht es einfach als eine Umverteilung von Macht im System. Die Gründer geben den Staffelstab weiter. Bedenkt: auf jeden Verkäufer kommt ein Käufer. Und wenn es Euch interessiert, könnt ihr ja mein Zuversichtsniveau jederzeit in rund um die Uhr in meinen Wallet ablesen. Und nun schlaft gut liebe Kinderlein und betet für Papa Staat, dass er Euch so wacker vor dem gefährlichen Delfin Fabio schützt.
