Hiking through the Valley of Monbach / Wandern durch das Monbachtal
Hello Steemit Friends,
after only 3 weeks back home in Stuttgart, Germany we were sick of the polluted city air and really needed some fresh air and green surroundings again.
We both have already been to the town of Bad Liebenzell were the hike starts but we both can´t remember. although it's not too far away from us we haven´t been there since that.
Hallo Steemit Freunde,
nach nur 3 Wochen zu Hause in Stuttgart, hatten wir genug von der schmutzigen Stadtluft und brauchten wieder einmal frische Luft und grüne Umgebung.
Wir waren beide schon in der Stadt Bad Liebenzell, wo die Wanderung beginnt, aber wir beide können uns nicht erinnern. obwohl es nicht zu weit von uns entfernt ist, waren wir seitdem nicht mehr dort.
We made a little mistake at the beginning as we started the walk at the Trainstation where the red circle is, instead of where everyone else started, at the black circle. This ended in a 10km walk, but we´ve seen some nice things on the way.
Wir haben am Anfang einen kleinen Fehler gemacht, da wir am Bahnhof angefangen haben, wo der rote Kreis ist, anstatt am schwarzen Kreis, wo alle anderen angefangen. Dies endete in einem 10km Spaziergang, aber wir haben einige schöne Dinge auf dem Weg gesehen.
Before we reached the actual valley we had to walk for about 3-4km through a wider forest road with lots of different trees and plants. Half way to the valley there was a little glade where someone has put some garden gnomes in. First it looked a bit creepy but it actually is quite funny.
It was quite easy to find the way as you only have to follow the small red and black signs.
Bevor wir das eigentliche Tal erreichten, mussten wir ca. 3-4km durch eine breitere Forststraße mit vielen verschiedenen Bäumen und Pflanzen wandern. Auf halbem Weg ins Tal gab es eine kleine Lichtung, wo jemand Gartenzwerge hineingestellt hat. Zuerst sah es ein bisschen gruselig aus, aber eigentlich ist es ganz witzig.
Es war ziemlich einfach den Weg zu finden, da man nur den kleinen rot-schwarzen Schildern folgen musste.
After approximately 45min walk we finally reached small path which led us to the valley. The valley was a bit cooler and there was almost no sunlight. Very good for a hot day like yesterday.
It felt a bit like going into another world. It was totally quiet and only a few sunbeams could reach the valley.
Nach ca. 45min Fußweg erreichten wir schließlich einen kleinen Pfad, der uns ins Tal führte. Das Tal war etwas kühler und es gab fast kein Sonnenlicht. Sehr gut für einen heißen Tag wie gestern.
Es fühlte sich ein bisschen an wie in eine andere Welt zu gehen. Es war total ruhig und nur ein paar sonnenstrahlen konnten bis ins Tal durchdringen
There is a small creek called Moncreek running through the whole valley. I guess that is the reason why there is so much moss all over the valle. It´s on the trees, on the ground and on the stones as well. This gives the valley quite a mysterious look.
Es gibt einen kleinen Bach namens Monbach, der durch das ganze Tal fließt. Ich denke, das ist der Grund, warum es überall im Tal so viel Moos gibt. Es ist auf den Bäumen, auf dem Boden und auf den Steinen. Dies verleiht dem Tal ein recht mysteriöses Aussehen.
The walk isn´t really hard but you have to be careful cause it is quite slippery. There are a lot of roots and stones you´ve to take care of. It really is a pleasant walk and good for young and old people. We also passed two small cascades what we did not really expect.
All in all we can really recommend it to everyone who loves to explore the nature and see something different than the concrete jungle.
Der Weg ist nicht wirklich schwer, aber man muss vorsichtig sein, weil es ziemlich rutschig ist. Es gibt viele Wurzeln und Steine auf die man aufpassen muss. Es ist wirklich ein angenehmer Spaziergang und gut für junge und alte Leute. Wir haben auch zwei kleine Kaskaden passiert, was wir nicht wirklich erwartet hatten.
Alles in allem können wir es jedem empfehlen, der es liebt, die Natur zu erkunden und etwas anderes als den Betondschungel zu sehen.

Ah I miss the Schwarzwald. Such a beautiful place. Did you see any wildlife besides birds and worms?
it definitely is. Unfortunately we haven´t seen any wildlife, just some bugs and birds.
ich waer so froh, mal wieder die Stuttgarter Luft atmen zu koennen haha.
Sieht nach 'ner tollen Wanderung aus. Der Baum mit seinen Wurzeln ist toll :D Aber die "Mini-Wasserfaelle" gefallen mir am besten ;)
