But detoxing doesn't have to mean forking out a small fortune at an uppity spa. Here are 5 ways you can give your body a break, naturally:

  1. Drink lots of water. It flushes the system.
  2. Sweat, either in a sauna or steam room, or through exercise.
  3. Meditate or pray regularly, and take deep, cleansing breaths when you do.
  4. Eliminate electronics from your bedroom.
  5. Cleanse your body with natural herbs like dandelion and ginger root.

I found that any form of ritual does keep me on track. Good article, thanks for posting.

I know it's not necessarily an easy solution, but to really cleanse yourself - your spirit and your body - not to mention the whole planet just stop eating meat. Unless your beef, pork, chicken or fish is sustainably and humanely raised it's got every kind of nasty crap imaginable in it. It's harming our air and water and it's full of horrible chemicals. Thanks for - at least - considering it.
