Wonders of the World where you have not heard anything
Everyone has heard of the Great Wall of China, the pyramids and the Coliseum. Many even visit there, and not once. But in the world there are still many amazing places that are not inferior in their beauty and majesty with the wonders of the world that has long been known.
Deravar Fort, Pakistan
Fort Deravar is an inaccessible area of the old. Only royal people and soldiers could be placed outside the walls. And now, to get to the castle, you need to get a special permit. Deravar is a square structure according to plan, consisting of 40 bastions, each elevation reaching 30 m. Near the fortress wall there is a marble mosque and the family tomb of the Abassi family that has a fortress to this day.
Jenne Mosque, Mali
This extraordinary mosque is in Africa. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that the mosque is built of clay, or more precisely from material from banko, which consists of clay with a mixture of straw, manure and husks. During the rainy season, the building walls are washed away with water and Jenna, literally, melts. In this case, each year the city celebrates a festival dedicated to the restoration of the mosque. Most men gather and wear banco walls, to restore the building to its original shape.
Chand Baori, India
Chand Baori is a well. But the shape is not quite normal. This structure, similar to an inverted pyramid, is 30 meters deep, in the middle of which is a water reservoir. You can go down to the water for 3500 steps. In ancient times, Chand Baori served as a reservoir of rainwater, sufficient for all residents for six months from the dry period. On one wall of the "pyramid" is a sacred temple, in front of which you need to bathe in the water. Until recently, the well administrators did not advise tourists to wash in this body part of water and, moreover, drink it.
Lutfullah Mosque, Iran
The Sheikh Lutfulla Mosque is a truly charming building. The extraordinary Arabesque, mosaic ornaments, the unparalleled combination of flower palettes create an interesting impression. The hallmark of the mosque is the absence of the inner courtyard and the tower, as well as the steps in front of the main entrance, which are not observed in the classical architecture of the mosque. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the building was meant only for the women's religious rituals of the harem sheik.
Fort Kumbalgarh, India
The ancient fortress, which has been inaccessible for centuries, deserves to be called the Great Wall of India. The fort named after the ancient "guardian of death" has a length of 36 km, and the width of the wall reaches 8 m. During its existence, Kumbalgarh never lost an enemy.
Old Bridge, Bosnia and Herzegovina
What, it seems, can be on the bridge, which is a lot in the world? Besides the fact that it was a bridge built during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Great, he had an unusual technology at that time. Thanks to architect Hayruddin, for 9 years, the bridge is thin and very fragile with no central support built.
Palace of Parliament, Romania
The Parliament Building in Bucharest is the largest administrative building in the world. The Palace has over 1000 rooms, located on 12 floors above the ground and 8 levels underground. To decorate the Houses of Parliament, marble, crystal (for various chandeliers and mirrors), bronze, expensive parquet, and used carpets. Today, Parliament house residence, Art Museum, branches of universities, courts, libraries. At the same time, however, most of the buildings were empty.
