Until now, technological advances have reached the point that the real world can be decorated not only with material objects, but also with digital objects. I am talking about augmented reality or AR.

The real example is the sensational game, where everyone catches the Pokemon. Walk through the streets of the real city, but this action takes place on the smartphone screen. From minus - all kinds of accidents and injuries, mainly carried away. But, for the pluses attributed to the fact that the players finally got up off the couch, and not as usual "stuck" while sitting on the phone.

In fact, I am often afraid of all kinds of social short films about the future, where people lose all interest in real life. Around the ruins - but you are in the Bahamas. But, until now, if you understand, then AR, in addition to entertainment, brings many benefits.

I'll start with what's been used in the world. Most of me was impressed by the world of education.

In the museum, AR is used to demonstrate objects in their original form. For example, at the Washington National Museum of Natural History offering to use a special application «Skin and Bone», which literally pulls the "skin" to "bone", so that visitors can see, it looks like an exhibition in the early years of life.

In the Darwin Museum, if you stand on a special label, then on the big screen you can see how digital, but the live exhibit is right for you. Much easier to examine and study the animal, especially if rare or even extinct.

These are just a few examples, but they only show how technology can complement the real picture that exists for better perception. Something happened, like the WOW effect and the information remembered much better.

In this principle, AR-textbook production is also under development. Experts argue that the future lies behind them, as animated and reinforced video material makes a bigger impression on children than simple illustrations.

Presentations and demonstrations of various objects, which are not yet in reality. Development of techniques, which on paper look flat, and on screen they can be rotated, viewed and zoomed.

For example, a demonstration of unfinished housing. Buyers can see how the house will look, walk on the floor, choose an apartment and evaluate its layout. Standing in the middle of the field, on the tablet showcased the design of the future home. Very useful for people with a lack of spatial thinking. What's on paper? 10 sq. M is how much? For exhibitors, you do not have to carry all of the product lines sold. Everything can be shown from the tablet screen, not only the appearance, but also the internal components.

All kinds of booths, shop windows and even virtual fitting rooms. Stand in front of a big screen, like a mirror, where you see yourself in real time, but you are trying on digital clothing.

The "Сonverse" shoe manufacturer has developed a special application where you can measure your shoes virtually. You put your bare feet in front of the camera, and on the screen you are in shoes, just change the model and color.

By the same principle, IKEA has released an application where you can try furniture in your apartment. You guide the screen to an empty corner, and there is a sofa.

On the Internet I met with a proposal to make an AR-card. Now, instead of a superficial invitation, you can send a postcard. When you see it, via the phone screen, a video message will appear. You can, of course, and to upload the WhatsApp video, but that's not it).

I even met an article that would help AR fight obesity. You sit on a special glass and on a plate, instead of the incomprehensible, green and small that you see beautiful and big. The developers claim that, although equipped, but still reality can deceive the brain and bring satisfaction from being eaten.

These are a few examples where AR has found applications in everyday life. And technology is becoming more accessible. It remains only to remember where the real, and where not, so as not to be the hero of the very social shorts.
