Step 4: Your content should be of quality!

This step is very important because your SEO optimalization can be the best there is, you can use the perfect tags for your post but if your post is awful to read, it has all been for nothing! Writing good content takes a lot of practise if you’re not a copywriter or good blogger. My tip for that is to post blogs daily and step up your game. It takes practise and if you’re just trying hard enough the community will notice it. My first blogs were awful and are getting better each day!
But what is important in getting there? Well formatting your blog post is paramount!

Use short paragraphs

People tend not to read big chunks of text. Instead use paragraphs that ‘break’ the text so it will give the reader some rest. If I see a lot of text in a blogpost I quickly skip it because I hate reading it. So what is essential here? White space! In a design it’s the same and when talking about a blog you have to use it too.

Giving Structure to a post

You can use markdown for this. You have to learn how to use headers, bold, italic, bulletpoints, underscore and much more to give body to your blog. They will help you give focus to different content elements and you can highlight specific pieces in it. It will also help the search engine on what your post is about. When a reader is looking at a blog post and is scrolling quickly through it, the headers are what pops up. These should be most clear.

Hook your audience with a Call to Action

The average attention span of a reader is less than 5 minutes to really read your post. They want to get the information as quickly as possible so you have to find solutions to make it so. You have to hook them in the beginning of the article by something awesome and in the end with a call to action to read more!

Call to actions can be placed all over your post but are most effective at the end of the post because then they’re done and want to move on. You have to think for yourself what you want the readers to do next.

Ending Part 2

Quality content is essential to hook your readers. So think about what you post and proof read it a few times. Coming up next is talking about other stuff that gives you a good SEO. Curious on what it is? Check it out tomorrow!
