Nice tips and well explained! Maybe for newbies, it is better to make group layer instead merge. It will help if they will decide to do some changes later! I have done some "gifs" in the past and lately, I created two for a contest but I published only the second one, as the first one had so many mistakes :( so here is the one that I decided to keep it unpublished until now! :)
