Antique Christmas House ~ Price Sold $575
This is a very cool miniature house. We have had quite a few of these over the years.
Exact age and origin unknown but believe to be from the late 1800s to early 1900s era referring to construction.
These houses were usually made for the children to play, OR for Christmas displays OR for actual salesman samples for house construction. I am guessing this one was for a Christmas display referring to the colors and the roof does not lift off.
Great example of early American Folk Art. Very creative. These houses were usually made out of leftover materials like old wooden crates and barn boards.
This house has lots of detail...lots of charm and character.. When you peak into the windows even the inside has rooms, stairs and detail.
