STEEM Gear Fidget Toy - concept design
Inspired by the STEEM logo I created the following concept design of a "STEEM Gear" Fidget Toy and would like to ask your opinion before I refine and start to print it.
Please let me know what you like and don't like as well as any recommendations so I can make adjustments to the design.
If enough people find this concept interesting I will write a follow up post and present the printed model.

I think it's badass and the shape of the Steem logo should be perfect to make this. I am just wondering about the inside pieces do you think I can print them?
There should be a bearing inside I think, I guess it should be similar to the ones we find in roller blades.
Anyways, I you do succeed in making the inner pieces yourself that would be even better. Resteemed!
Thank you for your feedback and support @dandesign86, I very much appreciate it. I currently plan to print the STEEM frame including pillars to set the gears on top. That hopefully works and prevents the use of bearings.

If you go with that design I think it should have a clear case so you could see what's going on on inside.
Right now there is only one mechanism to fidget with. I think it would be cooler if you had one or two more places to fidget with it. Maybe add a simmlar gear to the bottom as the top to fidget in both places. Maybe a rotating lever or another area you could kinda treadmill your hand to spin the gears. Perhaps even add some hand grip groves to the sides of the case.
Either way I'd love to see it printed!
I think the idea of a transparent lid is a solid idea ! Is it possible to print transparent material ? Or can this piece perhaps be made with a cnc machine ?

I like the basic idea, but I'm just afraid it gets boring quickly. All you can do is play with the red cog and apart from other cogs rotating, nothing happens.
Unlike a fidget spinner, you cannot give it speed and move it around in your hand.
You may want to consider some more sizes of cogs, so someone can take it apart and reassemble.
Also maybe add like a small ball which has to be moved to the end by rotating the cogs?
Just my thoughts, I must say that it does look cool.
Now to make it even more interesting, it would be nice to have this like a meter high on the wall, with lights and automatic movement.
Maybe let it tick over every time you get a new follower or a comment on a post?

I think you should give more metallic texture to the gears, they seem to be made of plastic. Otherwise everything is fine. Go for the print buddy.
