Fabrics, Embroidery and Designs - Decorative embroidery for dress

in #design6 years ago (edited)

Hello, dear friends, steemians!

The textile arts are diminishing in secrets, or at least in my case, I try to learn as much as possible and expand learning in what I do. In each of my publications I tell you my experience, so that we can grow together.

Today we will see step by step, how we can add a decorative embroidery to a dress that they want to revive from their closet.

There are many ideas that can be implemented, but we must observe that it is a blue striped dress and that you must know how to combine the colors with this background, be careful and with good taste.

We must have a good range of colors in our stock of yarns, thanks to us various shades of blue, among them the turquoise that is going to predominate in our design.

Let's first see the image chosen for our design, of which we will not use everything, only the part of the medium that is selected by our rule in the Wilcom program.

We make our design with plumetis stitch, since the drawing is bought by small parts in its majority.

Here we have the size of our design, remembering that we have a frame of 30 x 30 cms, this has a measurement of 4 cms wide x 15 cms high.

3 color tests were made on the flowers, our is to check which color can be adapted to this fabric background, which looks very subtle.

The chosen one was the third one, predominantly turquoise with a low orange hue, since the red wine would also look good but it was more striking and does not comply with the sweetness that we want to reflect in this dress.

Here we can see the assembly, to have already visualized how the design will look on the dress.

Well guys already having our embroidery design ready and safe, now we are going to embroider this beautiful design.

To embroider this type of design you have to have a lot of precision since our embroidery ends at 15 cm high and we must roll the frame and start the design again so that it is linear to the first if we shoot a little at the beginning we can lose all the decor.

It is also very important to place the beginning of the design in the central part above, to have an exact continuity of embroidery.

I hope you have enjoyed this beautiful creation of embroidery, see you in our next post of Embroidery.
