Sono un designer, io rispetto Ettore per suo senso di design. Io spendo 2 ore guardando il suo bellissimo lavoro. Voglio visitare Musei Italiani en Milano per vedere più del Ettore Sottsass.

Last weekend, I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see an Italian architect Ettore Sottsass’s work. I’ve seen a piece of Ettore's work here and there on Instagram/magazines but haven’t seen it as a collection. MET’s exhibition advertisement, which is everywhere in NYC, says ‘Design Radical!’
I was very intrigued...

Ettore concocted the Valentine Portable Typewriter in 1968 with an expectation that this would become an everyday commodity.

“I worked sixty years of my life, and it seems the only thing I did is this fucking red machine. And it came out a mistake. It was supposed to be a very inexpensive portable, to sell in the market, like pens… Then the people at Olivetti said you cannot sell this.” (1993)
