This house certainly does not really float above the air. This is an artwork of optical illusion. The name of this building is Take my Lightning, but Do not Steal my Thunder design Alex Chinneck. The artist has taken a lot of optical illusion works, so this latest work has outwitted the eyes of many people and amazed them how this magical home can fly.
The shape of this house is similar to the building 184 years ago. It appears at the bottom as if the building was broken and separated between the top and bottom. The top of the building looks floating and broken at the bottom. Alex takes about 500 hours to complete this work. Of course it is not easy to create an optical illusion to make a building of this size seem to float.
With digital techniques, the illusion in this house is realized. The top of the house seemed to hang free, as if there was no gravitational effect there. The trick is a hidden steel pole inside the building.
"You can not tell the difference between a fake and a real thing, touch it, see it. But the thing is indeed floating, but the manufacture is very complicated, "said Alex. "As long as there are many people who enjoy it, I am happy," he continued.
This magical home will be on display at Covent Garden Piazza East, London. But the building is not always there, because the work of Alex this one only exhibited until October 24 next.
