Ouro Absinthe - Conceptual Design

Conceptual design for an absinthe brand. Took a while to formulate, actually, lot of false starts getting from A to B, there. Started as sketch, progressed into a full product design. This sort of bottle, though, would not be a forgiving shape in production, fragile and fickle. They'd pretty much have to 3D print the molds individually and manually fit the metal pieces.
The Ouroboros is an interesting figure, historically, seen all over the ancient world in fact. A snake eating itself isn't totally unusual, really, they can get infections and become delirious, and sometimes it's just so simple they start fighting another snake and get a little confused in the process. But it's a symbol that has fascinating dual meaning for most. For some, it's analogous to immortality, a self consuming snake that is never consumed. Other perspectives take it as an omen, and probably not a good one. Still, I like it. I like shiny things.
