Design from ruins...
Dadaism, futurism, surrealism and the followers changed the art scene rapidly in the last century and it had a huge effect on design as well.
There was a common place for these art-design-architechture pioneers, a school in Germany, called Bauhaus. Established in 1919 in Weimar by Walter Gropius. But of course you can Google it if you want more or subscribe for me because it is one of my favourite topic.
Yepp, so my first post is representing the simplicity and beauty what I adore most in life, and this is a chair by Marcell Breuer who was a teacher at the school later. Simple but sophisticated.
This Wassily chair was made in 1925.
So this first notes could have been a surf, climbing, cryptocurrency or celeb post as well, but I love design and it is a good start I think.
I will write about losing money on crypos, scams - not much, no worries, places to surf and about contemporary art. Maybe you will like them, thanks for reading.
Bauhaus is one of those artistic movements that I don't know if I enjoy it or not. I guess I just don't know enough about it to be able to fully appreciate it.
It covered quite a wide area from painter, sculptors etc...But as a creative community it is remarkable! Kandinsky and Klee just to mention some but you will surely see some of their arts here.
Kandinsky always reminded me of Russian futurism for some reason. I'm not as familiar with Klee, I guess I have some work to do. Haha.
